About the Opportunity
Meadowhawk Biolabs is seeking a highly organized, motivated and dynamic Research Associate to work within the non-GLP Immunoanalytical Services Team at our Marlborough, MA location, primarily as a Lab Operations Assistant but also performing routine protocol driven assays when required. The ideal candidate is organized, driven, hardworking, willing to learn, dedicated, and passionate about science, in a fast-paced team environment. Given that we are a newly launched Contract Research Organization (CRO) founded by an experienced team of industry veterans, this ground floor position offers unique opportunities for the successful candidate to contribute meaningfully to the creation and development of our services, expand their knowledge base by participation in multidisciplinary teams, and advance their career in capabilities and responsibilities.
Key Roles and Responsibilities :
- Assist in lab operations, focusing on ordering reagents and supplies, maintaining laboratory inventory, sample management, equipment routine maintenance and service records
- Support lab operations by assisting in the setup of product bins and temperature-controlled chambers
- Develop basic skills for operation of platforms such as ELISA plate readers, MSD workstations, Flow Cytometry and PCR for quantitative analysis
- Under the guidance of senior staff, perform routine protocol driven assays along with documentation and data entry for experimental protocols
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and filing of lab data in both digital and physical formats
- Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Smartsheet) to create charts, reports, and communicate project results
- Participate in efforts to improve processes and streamline procedures
- Collaborate with colleagues at all levels within and across departments
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
Requirements
Minimum Education and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or another related scientific field. Prior laboratory experience required. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered as substitution for the specific criteria outlined above.
