They will need to be detail and follow-through oriented, computer competent, and have legible handwriting. Responsibilities include scheduling appointments, invoicing transactions, processing payments, reconciling, client interactions, filing. The successful applicant will also cross train as a room assistant, whose responsibilities include office visit activities such as greeting clients and their pets, obtaining weights and histories, safely holding animals for examinations and procedures, educating clients, and stocking and cleaning rooms. Assistants also run blood tests, assist in answering phones and perform clerical tasks such as scheduling appointments, and helping with all aspects of hospital operations, including snow removal, as needed.
Benefits include discounted pet care, Simple IRA matching for eligible employees, partial health care coverage for full-time employees, and educational opportunities. You also have the opportunity to work with great clients, coworkers, and critters, have no emergency or on call responsibilities, and the opportunity to bring your own well behaved companion to work (four-legged, please!).
Applicants must have excellent customer service skills, be available weekdays, Monday evenings and Saturday mornings for rotating shifts, be able to lift 45 pounds, and be dependable with reliable transportation.
