What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Specialist (Bilingual) position at Meals on Wheels Central Texas?
Meals on Wheels Central Texas is honored to serve our older neighbors and adults living with disabilities in the Greater Austin area. Through our meal programs and other services, we help nearly 5,000 Central Texans live independently so they can age in place in their homes. To ensure that we are providing the best services and continuously improving them to support those we serve, we rely on volunteers to deliver a nutritious meal and friendly smile.
An Intake Specialist will show attention to detail, remain flexible in a fast pace environment, and demonstrate call control skills when speaking to clients over the phone. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must in this position. Qualified applicants will possess a professional phone presence and patient demeanor. Previous experience in a related position preferred. This position also assists with answering questions about MOWCTX programs and refers applicants to other services when appropriate.
Schedule : Full time, Monday - Friday 8-5 (No Weekends)

Payrate : $17.00 hourly

Job Responsibilities :
- Maintaining accurate computerized and manual client files containing sensitive and confidential information.
- Completing administrative duties such as inputting client information into our data base, routing calls to the correct department and using office machine.
- Screening clients and explaining services to clients over the phone.
- Confirming applications received by the organization.
- Partners with internal and external resources in order to support the clients.
- Participating on route delivery every Friday.
- Meeting metrics assigned by leadership.
