Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Fundraiser to join our team. In this role, you will assist with planning, coordinating, and executing fundraising initiatives to support the organization’s mission and goals. Key Responsibilities
- Donor Engagement: Assist in cultivating relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and community partners.
- Fundraising Campaigns: Support the planning and executing of fundraising events, campaigns, and appeals.
- Database Management: Assist in Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of donor interactions and contributions using fundraising software.
- Marketing and Communications: Contribute to creating engaging content for social media, newsletters, and donor communications.
- Volunteer Coordination: Work with volunteers to ensure successful event logistics and donor outreach.
- Reporting: Assist in tracking campaign progress and preparing reports on fundraising activities.
- Kitchen: Assist in the kitchen 1-2 days a week during non-essential times for events.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 0-2 years of experience in fundraising, sales, or related fields.
Skills and Attributes:
- Special events experience for a nonprofit a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with fundraising CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Blackbaud) is a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for the organization’s mission and willingness to learn.
- Proficient in Social Media.
- Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
