Measurement Incorporated (MI) is an employee-owned corporation and a leading provider of customized educational assessment services. Founded in 1980, MI has provided services to over 30 state departments of education, various nonprofit organizations and associations, large school districts and educational institutions, colleges and universities, the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium, and several foundations. We specialize in hand- and automated scoring services, psychometric and assessment services, and program evaluation and school improvement services.
The Fulfillment Manager is a key role responsible for providing daily oversight, direction, and leadership to Support Services staff in all facets of order fulfillment for multiple projects. This position plays a critical role in driving project excellence, improving efficiency, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. This position can be physically demanding and is an on-site, in-person role. Working hours are typically 8 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. but during peak seasons, working weekends or after hours may be required to meet contractual requirements.
Responsibilities
- Leadership:
- Provide training, daily supervision and oversight of fulfillment activities, including order processing, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, scanning preparation, and archival activities.
- Assign and/or reallocate resources as necessary to ensure all projects are completed within time and budget constraints to meet contractual obligations.
- Strong conflict resolution, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Communication:
- Work closely with suppliers, vendors, Support Services peers, subordinates, and cross-departmental staff to ensure schedules and expectations are being met.
- Assist project management to establish and implement methodologies, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all projects.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention To Detail:
- Successfully manage multiple, complex orders and projects simultaneously.
- Monitor inventory to ensure adequate supply of materials for all projects.
- Work closely with QA to ensure accurate materials are received from suppliers.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and assess project risks and communicate with project management.
- Conduct regular project reviews to assess progress and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain a safe and positive work environment for all employees.
- Logistics:
- Work with shipping contractors (FedEx, UPS, USPS and LTL carriers).
- Be familiar with material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.)
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in fulfillment operations.
- 1 years of experience in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience in fulfillment operation requiring attention to multiple concurrent projects.
- Ability to “Adapt and Pivot” in a dynamic environment with shifting project schedules and demands.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.).
- Must learn and become proficient in our internal software systems. Order, Pack, Ship (OPS) and Object Tracker.
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
