Responsible for developing, implementing, and improving welding processes and systems within the manufacturing environment. Ensures the quality and efficiency of welding operations, collaborates with cross-functional teams to solve welding-related issues, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. Provides leadership to weld technical staff.

Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and optimizes welding processes to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
- Establishes and maintains welding quality standards and procedures.
- Conducts inspections and tests to ensure weld quality and compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Analyzes welding defects and implements corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Provides technical support and guidance to production teams and welding operators.
- Works with the Process Engineers to develop, review, and maintain production welding set-up specs.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions in welding operations. Leads process improvement projects.
- Develops and maintains documentation related to welding procedures, specifications, and standards.
- Ensures all welding operations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
- Conducts safety audits and risk assessments related to welding activities.
- Provides leadership for weld technicians.
- Participates in other projects as assigned.
- Minimum 2 yr. technical college; preferred 4 yr. degree.
- Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welder to AWS standards preferred
- Five years of experience in weld engineering or relevant field. Manufacturing background preferred.
