Position Title: Vac Truck Operator
Purpose
Vac truck operator will operate sewer jet and hydro excavation trucks. This will include cleaning and jetting underground pipes, locating daylighting utilities and trench hydro excavation. As well as other day to day labor related task.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operating vac truck and maintaining truck
- Must be able to identify buried utilities
- Communicate with on-site foremen regarding progress and safety
- Maintain organized and clean job site throughout the project.
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must have CDL A or B with Tanker Endorsement and DOT Medical Card
- No Manual Restriction- must be comfortable driving a manual truck
- Must have experience with Hydro Excavation/Vac Trucks and tankers
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as an individual environment
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work with hands on tools and to work in construction related situations
- Follow instructions given both orally or in writing
- Ability to work independently, with accuracy and in accordance with company safety and quality standard
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed
License/Certification:
- CDL A or CDL B license (Required)
- Tanker Endorsement (Required)
- Negative drug including marijuana (pre-employment, random, etc.) per federal regulations
- Current DOT medical card.
- Handle a physical workload
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
