Job Title: Vacuum Truck Operator
Summary: MIS is seeking a CDL/Vac Truck Operator to join our team and be dispatched from our Saginaw Michigan location. This individual will load and unload equipment for the job, set up and break down equipment, or any other systems and processes for the job.
Purpose:
Vac truck operator will operate vacuum trucks and combination trucks for industrial and commercial cleaning projects and other day to day labor-related tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Operating vac truck and maintaining truck
- Communicate with on-site foremen regarding progress and safety
- Maintain organized and clean job site throughout the project
- Will be required to work in various duties on site when not operating vac truck
- Other duties as assigned
- Work in industrial settings, including the automotive industry, pipeline projects and commercial sites
- Wear proper PPE for the assigned task
- Perform manual labor in industrial settings as required
- Work flexible hours and be willing to travel as necessary to assigned job sites as needed
- Adapt to a position with no set schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and on call situations
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must have CDL A or B with Tanker Endorsement
- No Manual Restriction- must be comfortable driving a manual truck
- Must have experience with vacuum trucks and tankers
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as an individual environment
- Effective verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to work with hands on tools and to work in construction related situations
- Follow instructions given both orally or in writing
- Ability to work independently, with accuracy and in accordance with company safety and quality standard
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday (Primarily)
- Overtime as needed
- Overnight as needed
- Weekends as needed
License/Certification:
- CDL A or B license with air brakes (Required)
- Tanker Endorsement (Preferred)
- Negative drug including marijuana (pre-employment, random, etc.) per federal regulations
- Ability to pass company training programs when assigned (HAZWOPER, MUST, Forklift, etc)
- Handle a physical workload
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Experience:
- Manual transmission: 1 year (Preferred)
- Driving: 1 year (Preferred)

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
