What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Janitor position at Mechanical Equipment?

We are seeking an Industrial Janitor for our Mandeville, LA facility.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintaining cleanliness of facilities and equipment
- Dispose of trash
- Simple maintenance tasks (such as changing light bulbs, lubricating hinges, etc).
- Clean and maintain bathrooms, lockers, and other facilities.
- Think outside the box and think about ways to improve the cleanliness of the warehouse.
- Follow all OSHA regulations.
Job tasks:
- Empty Trash cans in all buildings
- Remove all trash from buildings.
- Collect all cardboard from all buildings and bring to bailer. Bail Cardboard as needed.
- Dump all forklift haul dumpsters.
- Remove Scrap from all areas and place in proper dumpsters.
- Check All Restrooms for paper towels and soaps.
- Clean filters on all small A/C units
- Clean all office widows inside and out
- Wipe down walls as needed.
- Bring Wastewater totes for pick up.
- Spray dust control on Gravel roadway
- Empty cigarette butt containers as needed.
- Clean Fountain pumps.
- Patrol grounds and parking lots for debris cleans as needed.
Minimum requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year verifiable work experience
- Forklift certifiable
- Be able to operate equipment such as sweeper and manlift
- Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner
- Fulfill drug and background check
This is a full-time position with the standard MECO benefit package provided. Working hours are Monday - Friday 5:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
