Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Credit Union Teller. In this role, you will be the face of our credit union, providing exceptional customer service while assisting members with their financial transactions and inquiries. This position requires attention to detail, a positive attitude, and the ability to identify opportunities to improve the financial well-being of our members.
Key Responsibilities
- Member Service: Greet members warmly, address their needs, and ensure a positive member experience. Provide information about credit union products and services while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately process a variety of financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, and check cashing. Issue corporate checks and other financial instruments as requested.
- Cash Management: Balance cash drawer and reconcile discrepancies daily. Ensure cash handling complies with credit union policies and procedures.
- Cross-Selling: Proactively identify member needs and recommend appropriate credit union products and services, such as savings accounts, loans, and digital banking solutions.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve member inquiries or concerns promptly, ensuring member satisfaction and building trust.
- Operational Support: Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and assisting with phone inquiries.
- Compliance: Adhere to all credit union policies, regulations, and security protocols to protect member accounts and prevent fraud.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to meet branch goals and deliver exceptional member experiences.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in finance, business, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous cash-handling, customer service, or retail experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, with a strong attendance record and a professional demeanor.
