Mecum Auctions is seeking an Customer Experience Agent for its On Time Auction Division located in Walworth, Wisconsin. The ideal applicant must have strong attention to detail, be an independent thinker, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment to keep multiple projects and objectives moving at once. This key role performs a variety of duties relating to the accurate and timely processing of customer consignments, registering bidders, and answering general customer inquiries. Mecum’s On Time division offers a variety of items at auction, including vintage collectibles such as posters, clothing, photography, vintage toys, small automobile related collectables and more. The On Time division has weekly auctions throughout the year. The auctions are conducted at its headquarters in Walworth, WI.
THIS IS NOT A REMOTE JOB. It does require travel to auctions and collections from time to time, up to 10-15%, and occasionally some weekends. Do not apply if you cannot fulfill these obligations.

Primary Job Responsibilities
- Work with consignors to ensure all required information and documentation is obtained to make the item ready for sale.
- Write accurate descriptions of items for sale. Do further research when needed.
- Review customer contracts and paperwork, input data, collect credit card payments, scan documents, etc.
- Load and processing imagery to be shown on the internet.
- Provide high-quality customer service in line with Mecum’s established standards.
- Do Physical Inventory, tag items, input into computer.
Qualifications
- Ability to analyze and input information via Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop.
- Experience in utilizing Google Drive.
- High level of computer skills and ability to multitask.
- Ability to get along with others and be a Team player.
- Possession of a high level of organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, which may require traveling for several days and sometimes a week or more at a time.
- Possession of strong communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 20 pounds or more from time to time.
- Ability to work 10-12 hour days from time to time, mostly doing computer work, but also helping in set up which may include standing, crouching, kneeling, and walking a lot at auction or at collections.
