At Med Water Systems we manufacture and install simple, reliable, ultra-pure water purification systems used in medical laboratories across the country. We are looking for a highly organized and reliable field service technician to join our dynamic organization. What you’ll be doing
- Perform installations and maintenance of water systems with an average of 75% travel.
- Achieve department goals by completing assigned activities.
- Support development and ongoing maintenance of a database for the service organization. The database documents customer service calls, installs, and PMs, while tracking each activity is finished on time.
- Work with sales and operations to make efficient plans for upcoming installations
- Provide and coordinate support for a 24-hour technical support line on rotation.
- Provide direct support for unplanned maintenance calls or emails.
- Provide direct support to address planned maintenance visits.
- Independently plan travel based on service team schedule and customer needs.
- Support operations in assembling parts required for system installation and preparing install boxes for shipments.
- Monitoring and working through tech “to-do” lists when not on the road.
- Organize travel receipts and submit them on time in Divvy and Concur for personal expenses.
- Complete and submit service reports and work orders ensuring key customer and equipment information is entered into the database or provided to the needed groups.
- Education and training of customers in the use and maintenance of water systems.
- Background check and drug screen are required.
Skills to help ensure success
- 0-1 years of experience, willing to train the right person.
- Potential to obtain professional certification through the Water Quality Association.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to clearly articulate complex concepts in simple terms.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with other functions or team members.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively.
- Ability to travel on average 75% (Driving and flying).
- Must have a good driving record.
- Analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to prioritize and complete company-critical tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ability to learn CRM system.
