As a Learning and Development Supervisor at MedAire, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for our employees. You'll assess organizational needs, develop customized training modules, and enhance employee skills across various domains. Represent and demonstrate best practices in an operational capacity, supporting a culture where employees are motivated to learn.
Key responsibilities
- Employee Development: Commit to the growth and development of employees.
- Training Needs Assessment: Identify training needs by collaborating with department heads and conducting thorough assessments.
- Training Execution: Oversee the execution of training sessions and workshops, ensuring they are effective and meet objectives.
- Competence Reporting: Work with area leadership to report on associate competence in their roles.
- Retraining Programs: Identify areas where retraining is required and implement programs to update and refresh associate skills.
- KPI Monitoring: Monitor and measure all KPIs related to training, such as progression of associate skills and competencies, effectiveness of training programs, and completion of assigned training.
- Engaging Programs: Create engaging training programs that align with company goals and individual development plans.
- Training Delivery: Deliver training sessions in various formats, including classroom, online, and workshops.
- High-Quality Materials: Develop high-quality training materials, presentations, and job aids.
- Alignment with Business Goals: Work closely with department heads, managers, and HR to align training with business goals and employee career paths.
- Continuous Improvement: Assess the effectiveness of training programs and make continuous improvements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with managers, subject-matter experts, and external vendors for tracking of training.
- Compliance: Ensure training content complies with legal requirements and industry standards.

Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends in leadership, managerial, and professional development learning programs, integrating new modalities such as social learning and mobile delivery.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience in a training or education role.
- Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and current training techniques.
- Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning platforms.
- Ability to analyze data and generate comprehensive reports.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Required Work Experience:
- Previous experience working on a Learning Management System platform (at least 2 years operational experience).
- Experience as a trainer/facilitator in face-to-face and remote environments, or as a proven champion of best practices.
- Previous experience supporting new trainees' performance or acting as a “new hire buddy” is recommended.
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
Required Qualifications:
Certification in training and/or organization development is an advantage.
Specific certifications such as CPLP or APTD are a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is preferred.
