What are the responsibilities and job description for the Onboarding Specialist position at Medasource?
Job Description: The specialist will be responsible for the coordination and management of provider on/offboarding activities. Projects will be prioritized and evaluated by the Director of Physician Contracting who will give the specialist the specific “charge” for the project. They will report progress and results to the appropriate Operations Director and/or Manager in charge of the specific transition or project.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the management of the following provider onboarding activities as well as any other related practice onboarding projects that may arise from time to time
- Provider On/Off-boarding (Physician and APPs)
- Practice Acquisitions
- Practice Closures
- Practice and/or Provider Relocations
- Practice Name Changes
- Opening of Satellite office
- Malpractice Application
- Kyrus Provider Search & Scheduling
- Maintenance of Furniture/Equipment in Storage
- Practice Manager Partnership
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum Level of Experience Required: 3 - 5 years of job-related experience
- Prior job title or occupational experience: Experience in an ambulatory health care facility
PREFERRED KEY SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Strong communication, financial, and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to thrive in a changing environment.
- Strong understanding of systems, project management and change management principles.
