Job Title: Security Project Manager
Duration: 7 Months (Target completion: End of Year)
Location: Remote
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the program lead for the security platform transition from Symantec (or equivalent) to Microsoft Security solutions (e.g., Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Purview).
- Collaborate with InfoSec, IT infrastructure, endpoint, and compliance teams to define timelines, deliverables, and success metrics.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate internal/external resources.
- Track project milestones, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communications.
- Support integration and alignment of 2–3 additional projects expected to run concurrently and in coordination with the primary security transition.
- Report project status to executive sponsors and adjust plans based on organizational priorities and change readiness.
- Ensure alignment with HIPAA, HITRUST, and other relevant security/compliance frameworks.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in program or project management within healthcare IT or cybersecurity environments.
- Demonstrated experience with security platform transitions, especially involving Microsoft security tools.
- Familiarity with Symantec or similar enterprise security tools.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- PMP or similar certification preferred.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in healthcare security initiatives and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITECH).
- Exposure to cloud security transformation or EHR integrations from a security perspective.
