Seeking a Qualified Evening Shift Clinical Support Specialist for an in-house clinical staff position. Must have a current RPSGT.
MedBridge Healthcare is seeking a full-time Sleep-experienced Clinical Support Specialist to work Monday through Friday 12PM- 8:30PM . Hiring preference will be given to those with management or supervisory backgrounds. Preference will also be given to applicants that hold multiple state licenses and credentials.
This employee works under the general supervision of the Manager of Clinical Support Department to provide comprehensive clinical and technical support for Medbridge Healthcare. The employee will also assist with the Home Sleep Testing (HST) department.
MedBridge is a leading provider of sleep laboratory management services and sleep therapy. MedBridge partners with hospitals and physician practices to offer comprehensive fully-integrated services for patient identification, testing, diagnosis, treatment and long-term care management of patients with sleep disorders.
Primary Responsibilities will include:
- Provide clinical support through a variety of communication platforms including phone, remote computer access systems, and texting platforms
- Provide clinical support to sleep labs according to the preset policies and procedures developed by the area’s medical director
- Assist Physicians with editing report and interpretation templates in our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Provide training for the night clinical support staff as needed
- Provide technical support to sleep center staff
- Provide training to client staff, physicians, and Medbridge employees
- Provide support for HST patients, including follow up calls to assure patients receive equipment
- Help to develop clinical operations procedures to improve current standards for diagnostic sleep centers
Secondary Responsibilities will include:
- Evaluating study data quality for in lab and HST studies
- Score HST, MSLT, MWT, PSG, SPLIT, and PAP studies
- Analyze data that has been acquired during the polysomnographic (sleep) study
- Review and train employees on Lab Retriever functions, sleep software, and scoring processes
- Perform quality assessments on technologist scoring and acquisitions
- Produce comprehensive reports and forward them to the interpreting physician for interpretation
- Comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and standards regarding safety and infection control issues
- Other clinical duties as required
- Maintain strict confidentiality
Requirements:
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma
- Register Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential holder
- Licensure in the states that require Licensure for scoring of diagnostic tests (as-needed)
- BLS/CPR-certified
- Graduate of a Polysomnography educational program preferred
- Associates degree preferred but not necessary
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not necessary
- Minimum of five years’ experience in sleep medicine as a Polysomnographic Technologist
- Minimum of two years’ experience in scoring of sleep studies
- Minimum two years’ experience with HST devices
- Knowledge of all aspects of polysomnography and sleep medicine protocols.
- Knowledge of how to operate and maintain a variety of sleep equipment
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues
- Knowledge of how to instruct staff according to the policies and procedures
- If working remotely access to high speed internet
- Skill in use of computer and software
- Skill in appropriate quality control and confidentiality procedures
- Skill in analyzing data and situations to implement and administer procedures and to resolve technical, administrative, and patient related problems
- Ability to learn and use multiple sleep software programs
- Ability to exercise independent judgement for decision making and discretion
- Ability to analyze complex situations and apply policy
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with staff
- Ability to educate staff, patients, and families effectively
