The Supervisor, Consignment Operations is responsible for overseeing MedCare’s consignment operations and related activities. This role will be responsible for scheduling consignment delivery driver employees and developing delivery schedules and routes to optimize and ensure efficient distribution of consignment inventory to customer accounts. The Supervisor will monitor departmental KPIs, make adjustments when needed, and provide leadership and guidance to employees to achieve operational success based on organizational direction and strategy. Customer engagement and collaboration with MedCare Sales Team is expected. Travel is expected between MedCare facilities and customer consignment accounts.
Requirements:Consignment Operations
- Oversee the daily operations of consignment delivery drivers and manage warehouse, truck, and consignment closet inventory for multiple locations.
- Engage customer accounts with onsite visits and collaborate with MedCare Sales Team to improve and build consignment business.
- Executes KPI reviews of all departmental metrics, including cost, accuracy, speed, etc., and develop improvement plans to meet established goals and timelines. Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor flow of work between departments, making necessary adjustments to maintain an efficient and cost-effective process.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service in continuous improvement of Consignment Program
- Audit, monitor, and report on inventory levels and update INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM accurately. Make recommendations on items to order and restock. Participate in annual inventory count.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by creating and enforcing safety standards and procedures while complying with all legal requirements.
Staffing and Development
- Planning and managing employee’s performance to ensure work is completed accurately and safely, consistent with company policies and standards. Mentor toward achieving goals and assist with corrective action.
- Establish annual performance goals for consignment delivery driver staff. Create and conduct annual reviews according to schedule. Monitor employee progress towards goal.
- Assist in the recruiting process by interviewing potential candidates. Provide recommendations on hire.
- Engages in and leads departmental meetings, training initiatives, team building and personal development.
Relationship Management
- Quickly addresses emergencies and provide and execute a resolution.
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills / Qualifications
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, Business, or related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in distribution, supply chain or logistics. Prior DME experience preferred.
- Ability to formulate complex analysis and make decisions based on data.
- Knowledge of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and warehouse management systems.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel.
- Previous experience with Brightree and/or Apacheta software a plus
- Strong leadership and customer service skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel to MedCare locations.
