Quality Control Manager – Short Term
Medcor Safety, a subsidiary of Medcor, is a Safety Services company serving the Construction and General Industry. The site Quality Manager is responsible for the quality program to ensure projects are constructed, tested, inspected, and documented in accordance with the project specifications, governing codes of construction and prime agreements. The successful candidate must be a team player, good communicator, and knowledgeable of Federal, State, Local, General Contractor and Owner Requirements governing the project.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Verify construction is performed in accordance with the contract specifications and drawing requirements through preparatory planning, inspection and record review.
- Lead preparatory meetings and communicate the contractual quality requirements to the subcontractors so that quality objectives are achieved.
- Manage the receiving process for all incoming shipments of materials and equipment ensuring the materials are properly stored and maintained.
- Perform a detailed inspection and review at the beginning of each work phase.
- Perform random inspections according to contract specifications and review quality assurance documents as they are issued.
- Manage a final punch-out inspection process of each system at time of completion.
- Review subcontractor procedures and quality records to verify contract compliance.
- Confirm project documents used at the jobsite are updated, maintained, and stored appropriately.
- Confirm contractual non-conformance issues are identified, documented, tracked and resolved in an acceptable manner.
- Review and analyze the project master punch list for completion.
- Manage regular quality meetings with client and subcontractors.
- Ensure that all construction is built in accordance with the plans, specifications, code requirements, safety requirements and good construction practices.
- Evaluate quality of work and report any issues
- Assist in facilitating proactive solutions to any issues, RFIs or questions that arise.
- Establish risk factors, then manage and mitigate them to ensure construction goes smoothly and on schedule.
- Collaborate and provide input/feedback to the Project Manager and client as needed.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- 5 Years Quality Management Experience Required
- Prior Experience on Commercial/Mission Critical Projects as a Quality Manager
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Ability to perform basic word processing and generate spreadsheets as necessary. Also, access and use the Internet and E-mail.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly be required to stand, bend, squat, sit demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear, and see. On occasion, may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday. Specific abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust and focus.
