Job Responsibilities
- Delivers proper care to all patients in the medical center during other than regular duty hours - making rounds on wards, especially checking the condition of all seriously ill patients, and those requiring special procedures such as suicidal observation or restraints.
- Responds to all emergency situations, catastrophic occurrences, taking full charge of activities of the Medical Center until relieved.
- Provides urgent care to patients from inpatient and outpatient settings, including all Code situations.
- Participates in administrative duties as assigned.
- Works effectively with other healthcare providers and interdisciplinary health care team to deliver cost-effective, quality health care for both inpatients and outpatients.
- Serves on clinical and administrative committees as assigned.
- Serves patients across a broad swath of settings including nursing home, acute psychiatric and urgent care settings.
