Job Title: Administrative Assistant, Full-Time, 40hrs per week
Salary Range: $40,289.17 to $43,387.03 annually, DOE

JOB SUMMARY: This position provides administrative assistance to University of Wyoming Extension Educators in the planning and implementation of educational programs and activities.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Assists Educators in designing and developing effective program marketing materials and education media, including newsletters, handouts, and fliers.
- Maintains 4-H program files and records.
- Maintains private and commercial pesticide training and test records.
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail.
- Processes vouchers; maintains budget figures, keeps accurate records of expenditures; maintains petty cash, submits receipts for reimbursement, and balances accounts.
- Answers phone and greets visitors; provides information and assistance; takes messages; refers to appropriate personnel.
- Maintains “to-do list” for annual events; completes related tasks according to deadlines.
- Assists in the management of the 4-H Council accounts; makes deposits; pays invoices.
- Assist with implementation of Extension programs.
- Be available for some weekend and/or night work hours.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:
- Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
- Knowledge of personal computers and job-related software programs. Including, Excel, Outlook,
PowerPoint, and Word.
- Knowledge of managing social media, websites, and 4H – specific online enrollment programs.
- Skill in the provision of customer services.
- Skill in analyzing problems and identifying solutions.
- Skill in establishing cooperative and productive working relationships.
- Skill in interpersonal relations.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work.
- Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position; usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for a minimum of two to three years.
- Background check is required.
