OBJECTIVE
The Energy Account Specialist is a key leadership role responsible for growing, developing and leading the Inside Sales Team to carry front-end customer contact, solution development, quote generation and order closing. The Account Manager will work closely with people at all levels of the organization, across a wide variety of functions to align the inside sales activity with the company’s overall strategy and goals. Apply leadership skills to improve team performance. Ensure engagement in new opportunities for market penetration, team deployment, etc. Liaise with multiple factions to help prevent and resolve customer problems. Drive and improve metric reporting procedures and own financial metrics, targets and budgets. Lead quick and effective closure of any improvement opportunities.

- Coordinate & prioritize deliveries.
- Define and lead the inside sales team activities. Ensure system for prompt and accurate entry of orders, customer billing, and customer service as needed.
- Maintain regular contact with key customers, outside sales force, and support organization.
- Track and identify market conditions, competitor pricing and service, and customer needs. Use this information to build goals, strategies, and action plans to increase profitable sales.
- Lead, train and develop support teams and provide the tools and processes to generate quotes, offers and business proposals which meet the company guidelines.
- Develop and report performance metrics for the business including project pipeline growth and revenue generation activities.
- Develop demand plan and orders/sales forecasts for internal communications as part of forecasting and planning processes.
- Interface for cross selling and cross business sales opportunities through other divisions in the organization.
- Maintain spreadsheets to provide real time results reporting.
- Other duties as otherwise assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5 years of related work experience
SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQURIED:
- Demonstrated ability to learn and make decisions and judgements.
- Leadership and Team building skills: build, train and develop the team.
- Demonstrated ability to be an effective communicator with logical, organized and tactical verbal, written, listening and presentation skills. Outstanding interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability of strong analytical skills and is able to assist in identifying and providing solutions to complex customer issues.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills, ability to create and execute a sales business plan.
- Excellent computer skills for the MS Office Suite of software, online competency in social media and familiarity with CRM and sales related business software.
- Ability to think strategically and make sound business decisions.

WORKING CONDITIONS
