The Cybersecurity Awareness Training is a state-funded program to ensure employees know how to identify phishing emails, and understand their roles in keeping the district safe from cyber attacks.
Duties and Expectations
- Coordinate in-district implementation of cybersecurity awareness training program
- Develop processes and systems to monitor participants and participation
- Administrative and communication responsibility for the program
- Work with technology department to obtain user lists and ensure safelisting is in place
- Assign additional training to smaller, specific groups of users as needed
- Participate in orientation sessions outlining steps during project implementation, and how to monitor district progress
- Participate in roundtable discussions with other Local Coordinators on best practices, challenges and tips for success.
- Serve as contact with cybersecurity provider's helpdesk and resources (KnowBe4)
