POSITION SUMMARY
Medgene Labs seeks a Facilities Sanitation Technician to work closely with other team members across departments to improve production facilities, and research facilities, ensure cleanliness throughout the facility, and develop strategies to improve overall facility safety and sanitation processes. This position will report to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager. Full-time and part-time positions will be considered.
JOB DUTIES
- Assist with sanitation efforts in and around the facility in a variety of capacities, including office and laboratory settings
- Responsible for the completion of routine sanitation and associated documentation, including maintaining conditions of restrooms, breakrooms, offices, conference rooms, and other general areas.
- Perform semi-skilled and skilled work in several areas of the building and grounds
- Ensure appropriate safety measures are taken at every step of the sanitation process
- Anticipate, predict, record, and report facility and grounds sanitation and maintenance issues
- Ensure facility efficiency and workplace safety by adhering to company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
- Potential for advancement in assisting with lab activities, such as washing lab glassware, autoclave prep, lab coat laundry.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years experience in a maintenance and/or sanitation field
- Strong technical and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience in regulated research and production facilities is desirable
- Willingness to learn and keen attention to detail Ability to work independently to complete required tasks in an efficient manner
Working Conditions:
- Potential for exposure to hazardous material (chemical and biological), high voltage equipment, toxic fumes, high-pressure steam, and extreme temperatures. May be required to lift items up to 50 lbs.
