Job description
The Front Desk Scheduler enhances the team’s effectiveness by representing the company favorably to new and existing clients through stellar client service and organizing and maintaining the OR scheduling systems. This individual will offer critical organizational support to the Business Office team and assist with projects as needed. The Front Desk Scheduler is the first person to interact with customers and their families either face to face or over the telephone, and will reflect on the entire company.

- Keeps the families updated and asks them if they need anything while they are waiting.
- Maintains and organizes the OR scheduling systems.

Must be able to speak to and approach others in a friendly and compassionate way, work well with others, respect others and their differences, and be sensitive to the feelings of others. Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate with others, including physician offices, insurance companies, patients, and others about insurance benefits and costs associated to procedures.

- Scheduling patients and assembling charts in preparation for upcoming procedures.
- Admitting patients
- Collecting patient payments, logging them into the system, and maintaining a cash log.
- Working with different departments as needed
- Assist in providing outside vendor(s) with any necessary information required for billing purposes.
- Answering phone calls and directing them to the proper department/staff.
- Confirming schedule with surgical coordinators.
- Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
