We are seeking a talented and team-spirited Medical Assistant with Phlebotomy, Injection and EKG experience to join our team PART TIME. Schedule Requirements 25-30 Hours/Week
- Sun/Mon Off
- Tue/Thu/Fri 7:30-1:00pm
- Wed 10:30-7:00pm
- Sat only as needed
Clinical Functions
- Demonstrate respect for patients by presenting a friendly, courteous manner at all times and maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Obtain and document in patient Electronic Medical Record (EMR): patient’s vitals, urinalysis, EKG, phlebotomy, indirect calorimetry, waist/neck circumference, and body composition. Uploads all laboratory / diagnostic results to patient medical record daily. Ensures all records are uploaded by the end of each day.
- Administers IM injections and records the lot and site of injection in the medical record.
- Prepares laboratory order forms. Obtains patient laboratory results for review and signature of the medical provider. Uploads to patient chart once signed and reviewed with patient.
General & Administrative Functions
- Answer inbound calls from potential patients inquiring about the program and/or requesting to schedule an initial consultation.
- Helps with Front Desk/patient check in and check out using EMR
- Prepares the daily encounters for all visits according to the Standard Operating Procedure. Ensure visits are scheduled according to the designated rotation, flagging with lab/diag. services are due for retesting, and flagging for recommended services. While conducting a review of the patient record for the Encounter, confirm demographics is completed thoroughly and accurately. Notify the front office team if there is a balance on the account to allow for account review prior to the appointment.
- Maintain all laboratory supplies/ inventory. Submit weekly request for items from the laboratory vendor.
- Clean and restock patient examination rooms, consultation rooms, laboratory, and restrooms. Assist with cleaning and organizing other designated areas of the office as needed. Removal of trash to designated receptacles.
- Assist with stocking product deliveries, tracking receipts of ordered items, and physical inventory counts.
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant experience or schooling
- Phlebotomy, EKG, and Administering Injections
- Administrative / Front Desk
- Customer Service/Sales experience a bonus
