What are the responsibilities and job description for the Graphic Artist position at Media Fusion?
- Demonstrated experience producing artist concept renderings, technical illustrations, and graphic designs.
- Demonstrated experience selecting and working with various forms of art media, from traditional pen and ink, acrylics, oils, and watercolors to modern digital tools such as Adobe
- Creative Suite, Corel Painter, and Microsoft Office, as well as various other graphics-related applications.
- Skilled in determining composition, design, and appropriate media to be used in order to depict a broad range of technical concepts in support of scientific and engineering customers.
- Demonstrated experience in working with a broad range of applications as mentioned above, as well as the hardware associated with these applications, such as scanners, tablets, large-format printers, photo printers, and color copiers.
- Position requires the submission of a portfolio demonstrating proof of talent and skills within this discipline
- Associate degree or equivalent education in Fine Arts or Commercial Arts
- Minimum of 5 years of related full-time work experience in graphic arts and technical illustration
- Must have an active Secret Security Clearance
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.
To visit other company sites, employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle and fly in an aircraft, both of which may require sitting for prolonged periods of time. Employees must possess vision to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate in person, before groups and over the telephone. Standing in work areas and walking between work areas will be required. This position requires an employee to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance; reach, push, and pull drawers and doors open and closed. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
