This is exemplified by our innovative staffing and management model, paired with our corporate policy of “people first.” Position Overview NSCG is seeking Graphic Artists / Illustrators to provide visual communications support for the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division (NSWC PCD). The Graphic Artist / Illustrator will create technical illustrations, graphic designs, and visual assets for scientific and engineering projects. Key Responsibilities Develop artist concept renderings, technical illustrations, and graphic designs for government publications, presentations, and reports. Work with various forms of art media, including pen and ink, acrylics, oils, watercolors, and digital tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Corel Painter. Collaborate with scientific and engineering teams to create graphics that accurately depict technical concepts. Operate and maintain graphic design software and hardware, including scanners, tablets, large-format printers, and photo printers. Convert visual assets into multiple formats, ensuring compliance with DoD, Navy, and NSWC PCD design standards. Manage the archiving and retrieval of multimedia files and project assets. Ensure classified materials are handled according to SECRET-level DoD security clearance requirements. Required Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent education in fine arts or commercial arts with a minimum of 5 years of related full-time work experience in graphic arts and technical illustration. Experience producing artist concept renderings, technical illustrations, and graphic designs. Experience selecting and working with various forms of art media, from traditional pen and ink, acrylics, oils, and watercolors to modern digital tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Corel Painter, and Microsoft Office, as well as various other graphics-related applications. Skilled in determining composition, design, and appropriate media to be used to depict a broad range of technical concepts in support of scientific and engineering customers. Experience in working with a broad range of applications as mentioned above, as well as the hardware associated with these applications, such as scanners, tablets, large-format printers, and high-resolution digital imaging. Demonstrated ability to produce detailed concept renderings and technical illustrations. Strong knowledge of composition, media selection, and digital design techniques.
