Salary : Job Summary :
The Graphic Artist / Illustrator will be responsible for creating high-quality visual materials, including concept renderings, technical illustrations, and graphic designs, to support scientific and engineering customers. This position requires expertise in a variety of traditional and digital art media, exceptional design skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into visually compelling outputs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Create detailed concept renderings, technical illustrations, and graphic designs using both traditional and digital tools.
- Select and work with a variety of art media, including pen and ink, acrylics, oils, watercolors, Adobe Creative Suite, Corel Painter, and Microsoft Office tools.
- Collaborate with engineering and scientific teams to understand and depict technical concepts accurately.
- Design layouts and compositions that effectively communicate technical and non-technical information.
- Operate and maintain graphics-related hardware, including scanners, tablets, large-format printers, photo printers, and color copiers.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring attention to detail and adherence to deadlines.
- Prepare and submit project deliverables in various formats, including print and digital media.
Education :
Associate degree or equivalent education in Fine Arts or Commercial Arts.
Experience :
Certifications :
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant digital art tools is highly desirable.
Additional certifications in graphic design or technical illustration are a plus.
Clearance Requirement :
SECRET level DoD security clearance is required for this position.
Work Conditions :
Standard office environment with occasional use of graphics-related equipment and tools.
May involve extended periods of computer-based design work.
