What are the responsibilities and job description for the OSP Cable Splicer position at Media Fusion?
Installs, maintains, repairs, and modifies cable systems. The OSP Cable Splicer will perform installation and O&M of copper, coaxial and fiber optic cable (aerial, buried, direct buried, and underground), protected terminals, cable grounding systems, manhole and conduit systems, connectors and distribution frame and in terminating, splicing, locating, marking, testing, tagging and cross-connecting.
The OSP Cable Splicer will be experienced in voice and data grade CAT 5/6, and fiber optics cabling standards with installation and testing experience. Our OSP Cable Repair/Splicer will be trained in current methods/techniques of installation and splicing. These personnel will be physically able to perform duties such as heavy lifting, pole climbing, and working in enclosed spaces and in inclement weather. Cable Splicers will be TIA/EIA and BICSI trained.
