Position Summary :
We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Audio Visual (AV) Sales Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical expertise and client needs, providing tailored AV solutions to meet customer requirements. This role involves working closely with the sales and technical teams to design, present, and deliver cutting-edge AV systems for various markets, including corporate, education, healthcare, and entertainment.
Key Responsibilities :
Client Consultation :
Engage with prospective and existing clients to understand their AV needs and objectives.System Design :
Develop customized AV solutions, including system schematics, equipment specifications, and integration plans.Sales Support :
Collaborate with the sales team to create proposals, RFP responses, and technical presentations.Technical Expertise :
Serve as the technical authority during sales meetings, presentations, and demonstrations.Project Management :
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth transitions from sales to project implementation.Vendor Liaison :
Stay updated on the latest AV technologies and maintain relationships with equipment manufacturers and suppliers.Cost Estimation :
Prepare detailed cost analyses and quotations to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.Training and Support :
Provide training and technical support to clients and internal teams as needed.
Qualifications : Education :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in the AV industry, preferably in a technical or sales engineering role.Proficiency in AV design and integration, including knowledge of Crestron, Extron, QSC, and similar platforms.Skills : Strong understanding of AV signal flow, networked AV systems, and control programming.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.Proficiency in CAD software or AV design tools like AutoCAD, Visio, or Vectorworks.Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Certifications (Preferred) :
CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, or manufacturer certifications such as Crestron DMC-E, Extron Certified, or similar.
