Director of Marketing
Job Summary
The Director of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketinginitiatives to enhance the organization’s visibility, attract key stakeholders, and promote itsprograms and services.
This role will report to the CEO.
This role focuses on branding, digital marketing, and partnership development to achieve measurable growth in awareness and engagement.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Strategy and Planning
o Develop and oversee marketing strategies to support organizational objectiveso Provide insights and recommendations on market trends, audience behaviors, andemerging technologieso Assist in the creation of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, andmedia channelso Collaborate with the Director of Communications to enhance brand positioningand messagingo Collaborate with the Director of Communications to direct and support the IW brand andits supporting brands to ensure clarity and consistency across all channels andformats including logo identity, naming, websites, and imagery.o Mentor and guide team members on strategic planning and execution.o Work with the Director of Communications to develop and implement comprehensivemarketing plans aligned with organizational goals.o Analyze market trends to identify growth opportunities and challenges.o Serve as a liaison between the marketing department and external agencies andconsultantsIntegrated Campaign Content and Creative Strategyo Lead the development of content strategies that resonate with target audiences.o Collaborate with program leads to define and build actionable campaign strategiesto support program objectives.o Collaborate with the Director of Communications to ensure content developmentsupports marketing objectives.o Maintain and refine the organization’s voice and visual identity.o Develop campaign calendars and oversee content distribution across platforms.o Provide mentorship and support to team and contractors.o Optimize website content and user experience to enhance engagement andconversion.o Plan and manage multi-channel marketing campaigns in alignment with the Directorof Communications.o Establish regular reporting and metrics for campaigns and continually optimizefor return on investments and mission success.o Work with counterparts to develop a social media strategy that supports programgoals.Program Marketing and Analyticso Develop and support founder and investor experiences through program supportand enhancement.o Led the creation of program marketing plans that integrate into the larger IWcommunications and marketing efforts.o Oversee the creation of high-quality content to promote programs and participantsincluding blogs, podcasts, virtual events, etc.o Work with the Director of Communications to create and promote founder successstories in various formats.o Support campaigns to ensure optimal experience for founders and investors at IWevents in cooperation with the Director of Communications.o Establish tracking and reporting of KPIs to establish leadership and differentiationof IW to key audiences.Strategy Partnership Managero Develop and execute partnership programs in collaboration with BusinessDevelopmento Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships that align with the organizationalgoals and mission of enabling the growth of entrepreneurs to support economicdevelopment in the regiono Serve as the primary contact for external stakeholders in marketing-relatedinitiatives.o Ensure consistent brand messaging across all partner touchpoints.o Manage sponsorship opportunities and development opportunities internally toalign Business Development, Communications, and programs to meet partnerobjectivesOperations
o Manage any aligned vendor relationships required to reach organizational goals.o Evaluate and adopt tools and external resources needed to support initiatives andwork efficiently and effectively.o Mentor and support operations staffo Collaborate on marketing budgets and annual planning with the Director ofCommunicationsQualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- 8 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related field.
- Demonstrated skill and ability to drive product / program marketing success
- Experience taking new programs / products to market
- Extensive history of managing marketing campaigns and projects including websitelaunches, events, social media, and integrated campaigns
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, analytics platforms, and CRM systems.
- Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with marketing automation tools, customer relationship management (CRM)systems and analytics platforms.
- Expertise in go-to-market efforts and managing scaling marketing efforts
