As the Expeditor / Junior Buyer , you will :
- Track and resolve open purchase orders, including running reports, modifying due dates in JD Edwards, and communicating with suppliers via email, phone, or other methods to obtain current delivery information.
- Manage order status using independent decision-making skills and persistence while prioritizing workload.
- Reconcile backorders, investigate shipping discrepancies weekly, and monitor progress (schedule vs. actual) with major suppliers, addressing areas of concern.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with inventory, warehouse, and department staff as needed.
- Suggest process improvements for resolving shortage / backorder issues and provide proactive support to the Procurement team in resolving order discrepancies and billing / invoice issues.
- Assist Buyers with purchase orders, vendor communication, and outstanding requests for quotations (RFQs).
- Provide research and other support to Supply Chain projects as assigned by the Procurement Manager.
- Create and maintain reports to track supplier delivery performance and identify repetitive supplier issues or trends, working with buyers and / or managers to resolve them.
- Coordinate and monitor projects and assignments with a sense of urgency and strong attention to detail.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION / TRAINING :
Two years in purchasing, expediting, materials management, office management, or other relevant technical or analytical discipline. Experience with JD Edwards or other ERP software preferred.High School Diploma required.Associates or Bachelors degree in Business Management or related field preferred, but not required.SKILLS :
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to organize and accurately document multiple streams of informationExercise good judgment and discretionEstablish priorities / work independently and proceed with objectives with minimal supervisionDemonstrated skills in influencing supplier relationships to accomplish operational objectivesBasic proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook preferredThis job requires regular and predictable attendance.

Pay Range : $22.404 or more per hour, depending on experience
