The Dane County Law Library, located in the Dane County Courthouse, is seeking qualified candidates for the full-time position of Branch Library Associate. The Branch Library Associate provides reference and information services to library visitors and residents of the county jail. The Branch Library Associate is responsible for processing, filing, and shelving all materials for local circuit court judges. This position is in sole charge of the Law Library in the absence of the Branch Librarian.
Position Summary
LOCATION : Madison, WI.
SALARY : $40,842 - $49,414 annually with a State of Wisconsin benefits package. Salary will be determined based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responds to requests for legal information from the residents of the two local jails. Assists the Branch Librarian in the maintenance of the jail library collection.
- Provides directional information and reference assistance to the library’s users. Performs basic financial transactions including cash and credit card transactions.
- Assists the Branch Librarian with the receipt and timely processing, filing and shelving of materials for the Dane County circuit court judges, which requires working in judges’ chambers or courtrooms.
- Oversees the circulation of library materials.
