Position Overview:
Assist employees and their dependents on various benefit plans, while serving as a back-up to Employee Benefits Senior Manager.

Position Responsibilities:
Administer benefit programs.
Oversee disability plan.
Conduct benefit orientations.
Process benefit enrollments/changes, employee terminations and status changes in HR system.
Work with benefit vendors.
Coordinate wellness initiatives (blood drive, walking challenges, etc.).
Research and resolve benefit issues including claims assistance.
Assist with Open enrollment and ACA (Affordable Care Act).
Conduct annual benefits webinars.
Maintain employees benefit files.
Manage and administer employee leave of absences.
Experience/Skills:
High School Diploma Required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
1-2 years of HR experience required, 1-2 years benefits experience preferred.
Knowledge of benefits and claims processes.
Knowledge of HR benefit laws such as FMLA, ADA, COBRA.
Knowledge of HRIS (HR Information System).
HIPAA certified.
Detail oriented.
Organizational skills required with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Must be able to communicate with people in potentially stressful situations and work well under pressure.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Publisher.
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement.
Physical Requirements:
Extremely Light – Physical effort normally found in clerical work or the equivalent. Work is primarily sedentary; however, occasional handling of small objects (up to approx. 10 lbs.), and occasional walking or standing may be required.
