The Position: This is a professional position working in the field of reentry.
Qualifications: Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Human Services, or related field is preferred, but a combination of experience and education will be considered. A strong desire to remove reentry barriers and an understanding and/or personal experience of the challenges faced by those involved in the criminal justice system is required. Must pass MDOC screening.
This position is a full-time position, working on-site Monday-Friday at a rate of $22/hour with various benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting successful completion of program requirements for participants
- Participates in classroom instruction, activities and events with participants
- Maintains a positive relationship with participants and community partners
- Monitors daily programming needs and safety measures
- Enforces program rules and expectations with participants
- Attends outside committee meetings and promotes a positive agency culture
- Escorts participants walking to and from programming in all weather conditions
- Local travel to additional program sites when directed
- Ensures strong professional boundaries while navigating complex situations
- Ability to establish trust and build rapport with participants
- Other duties as requested for successful programming and agency growth

· Treat all participants as individuals and learning their unique needs
· Desire to work in an agency focused on reentry services and crime reduction
· Ability to instill trust in our agency and services to clients and referral sources
· Strong organizational skills and a highly professional work ethic
· Comfort and experience with technology and online programming
· Adaptable to working in a fast-paced, non-traditional office environment
· Knowledge of community resources and local service providers
· Ability to effectively communicate and respond to potential crisis situations
· Strong work ethic, understanding of confidentiality, a positive team collaboration mindset and a desire to make lasting impact in the community is imperative
