General Function
The Student Success Administrative Assistant will support the integrated entity, WE CAN! Newaygo County and the Newaygo County Area Promise Zone as well as early college credit earning opportunities. The Student Success Administrative Assistant will positively impact college access and success opportunities by providing administrative support to the Administrator of Career and College Readiness and the post-secondary services team. The successful candidate will organize college access information, data, and resources in a helpful and efficient manner. The Student Success Administrative Assistant will also support the Early College Newaygo County (ECNC) program.
We seek a positive, empathetic, and detailed-oriented professional who embodies a service mindset as they help implement a broad range of meetings, events and projects. This service-centered professional will be responsible for maintaining accurate databases and records in order to support the existing strategies and systems in place. This successful candidate will be passionate about post-secondary opportunities and successful with fostering relationships with community members and students.
Position Qualifications
· Minimum of an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
· Previous experience in an administrative support role preferred.
· Values the opportunities and benefits associated with the achievement of post-secondary credentials.
· A friendly and helpful demeanor when interacting with any guests, students, or staff. Cultural sensitivity to maintain relationships between diverse populations and multiple agencies across the county.
· Proactive and able to assume responsibility and take initiative; shall be self-sufficient and require minimal supervision or assistance to aid in job duties and must be able to manage multiple projects.
· Strong planning and organizational skills are required.
· Team-oriented professional who works well autonomously and able to collaborate effectively in a team; shall exhibit the ability to provide excellent customer service.
· Able to use technology, including Microsoft Office and social media platforms to enhance the advancement of all entities. Prior Canva experience is beneficial.
· Must possess and operate in a growth mindset.

Essential Duties
Essential duties shall include but not be limited to providing administrative support and aiding the efforts of WE CAN! Newaygo County, Newaygo County Area Promise Zone, and early college earning opportunities:
· Help to coordinate the ECNC student registration process and support interview needs for new students.
· Procure supplies and materials necessary for organizing and facilitating events and meetings.
· Serve as the liaison for MEMCA Certification for Early College students (acquire accurate information, monitor and maintain documentation, provide local districts with the necessary information for students to legally acquire certification).
· Methodically maintain and proactively communicate a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, appearances and other communication opportunities for the team(s) to reference. Coordinate services with post-secondary personnel to support student access and success, as needed.
· Value and provide ongoing communication with supervisor, high school administrators and staff, students and families, and post-secondary personnel.
· Schedule and help manage the logistical needs of student and team meetings, and career and college access events.
· Update and assist in producing marketing materials including but not limited to brochures, newsletters, promotional materials, and press releases.
· Assist with the mobilization of funds including but not limited to supporting grant applications and evaluations, fundraising campaigns, and preparing acknowledgement letters to donors.
· Assist with data collection and analysis. Create and maintain reports regarding activities and outcomes related to the shared goals, objectives, and metrics for WE CAN! Newaygo County, the Newaygo County Area Promise Zone, and the Early College Newaygo County program.
· Perform clerical functions (e.g. databases, reports, requisitions, Board agendas, Board minutes, etc.).
