Overview
This position acts as a liaison between hospitals, physicians, patients, and other referral sources and reviews incoming referrals for completeness while following up for additional information if necessary.
This Referral Cordinator will work to establish and maintain positive relationships with customers and referral sources. Responding to patient and referring offices requests in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
- Connect, route, and relay incoming calls to appropriate personnel.
- Coordinate referrals from providers to appropriate Specialist Office.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with current and potential specialist office.
- Respond to patients or specialist office with updates in a timely manner.
- Process and route faxes to relevant departments or personnel within the organization.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
Qualifications
- Prior Medical receptionist or Referral Coordiantor exprience is preferred but not required.
- Equivalent to four years high school or GED.
- Understanding of medical terminology.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
