JOB SUMMARY:
The Title X Program Coordinator, under the direction of the CMO and COO, is responsible for coordinating the ongoing development, training, implementation, and tracking of the family planning services program at Medical Associates Plus health center locations. The Program Coordinator will work to support, and act as a liaison between, health center staff, MAP leadership, and the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Population Affairs (OPA), to ensure that all milestones and outcomes are being tracked and reached in compliance with internal standards, and external funding and accreditation bodies requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create systems to both implement and monitor integration of Title X family planning services in accordance with Title X regulations and national best practices.
- Review and propose updates to current policies and procedure to ensure that family planning services are provided in accordance with national best practices and compliance with Title X regulations.
- Develop, update, and execute routine trainings for health center staff to ensure that family planning policies and procedures are implemented in a standardized manner, in accordance with national best practices and Title X regulations.
- Collaborate with, and support, Practice Managers to ensure that all medications, medical supplies, educational materials, referral resources and administrative forms, and survey/tracking tools are available and in adequate supply at initiation of Title X family planning services and on an ongoing basis.
- Prepare for submission, the annual FPAR data report to the OPA.
- Implement the creation and revision of family planning forms, policies and reporting in the electronic medical record and practice management system.
- Works in collaboration with the Director of Quality, Director of Nursing, and/or the COO to assist with the review of EMR and Practice Management data to ensure quality services in accordance with national best practices and Title X guidelines.
- Periodically reviews OPA, Title X, and CDC standards to ensure MAP monitors and conforms to requirements.
- Ensures proper data collection is undertaken; synthesizes data for required reporting; and reports to funders in timely manner regarding family planning services.
- Assists with preparing reports and participate in grant activities as needed.
- Participates in health center meetings such as the CQI Committee, Managers and other requested meetings.
- Facilitates and oversee the implementation and on-going activities of the Advisory Committee while keeping minutes of said committee.
- Oversees the implementation of the Title X Work Plan and operational budget items.
- Consistently communicates and maintains relationships with the Federal and State Project Offices, Health Departments and other pertinent Community Based Organizations.
- Ensures effective documentation and file management within the program.
- Prepares regular reports on progress/ challenges identified and submit to the immediate supervisor.
- Promotes effective communication within the program in order to ensure well-coordinated work streams and regularly and frequently communicate with team using all communication outlets.
- Coordinates and works closely with the National Training Center on training management and staff on all required trainings.
- Conducts routine site visits to any FP site as a form of supportive program supervision and maintain bi-directional communication and information flow with Practice Managers.
- Disseminates information from MAP and other sources pertinent to Title X.
- Participates in the Family Planning meetings held at the national and sub-national levels.
- Responsible for the coordination and scheduling of preceptors of the Augusta University Clinical preceptorship programs in conjunction with the Human Resources Director and AU staff.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor Degree in Public Health, Community Health, Social Work, or another related field.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
- 3 to 5 years progressive experience and/or leadership and management, preferably in an urban setting and/or at a Healthcare Facility.
- Demonstrated leadership, management, analysis and planning skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of current healthcare trends, best practices and legal issues. Desired.
- The ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities and tasks.
- The ability to work effectively with persons of varying degrees of education and professional expertise in a multi-disciplinary team setting.
- Critical language skills include the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries and complaints.
- Must be culturally competent and culturally sensitive.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Womens Health, Title X Program Coordinator position requires interaction with diverse groups, thus working conditions require significant tact and judgment daily. Nearly all work will be in the physician office environment.
