Medical Assistant / MA Urgent Care

Job Summary:

MUST HAVE MEDICAL ASSISTANT EXPERIENCE AND AVAILABLE TO WORK WEEKDAY MORNINGS. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various medical procedures. This position is located in a urgent care setting, some locations also provide primary care.

Duties:

- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, recording patient information, and assisting with examinations

- Administer injections and medications as directed by healthcare professionals

- Conduct X-rays and other diagnostic procedures under the supervision of a licensed practitioner

- Assist with patient education and provide support and guidance to patients and their families

- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure confidentiality of patient information

- Perform medical administrative support duties including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance forms

- Follow proper infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification OR prior Medical Assistant experience preferred

- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology preferred

- Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing basic medical procedures

- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
