What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative/Safety Technician position at Medical Center Hospital?
Position Summary:
Responsible for efficiently and effectively responding to customer requests for service regarding any and all EP/Safety products and services. Customers include those internal and external to Medical Center Hospital. Works with the Safety Coordinator to ensure all paperwork for any aspect of the safety program are completed in accordance with all governing agencies.
Qualifications:
A. Education:
High School diploma or equivalent. Some college or applicable work experience with excellent computer skills.
B. Training and Experience:
Previous clerical/secretarial experience within a customer focused, team based environment, preferably with some experience in healthcare. Some knowledge of NFPA and Joint Commission standards preferred.
C. Job Knowledge:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proficiency in using office equipment, including but not limited to, facsimiles, computers, photocopiers, telephones, 2-way radios, paging systems, etc. Proficient in computer skills with at least 50-60 wpm typing skills.
Unusual Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
A. Frequent strenuous activity such as lifting, pulling and pushing.
B. May be subject to toxic gases, periodically.
C. May come in contact with contagious diseased equipment.
