What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant position at Medical Center?
We are seeking a Phlebotomist/Medical Assistant with back/front office experience to join a small primary care practice. The applicant should be a team player, have excellent communication skills, and have medical assistant skills in handling phlebotomy and working with commercial labs to process specimen. Computer skills are a must.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations and procedures
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and documenting patient information
- Assist with office based point of care diagnostic testing
- Handle patient inquiries and provide education on treatment plans
-Phlebotomy
-Obtaining ECG’s
-Maintain medical supplies and equipment in examination rooms
Requirements:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant certification
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Knowledge of coding practices for medical billing
- Strong communication skills and empathy towards patients is a must
