The Role
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care in the NICU unit.
This leader will oversee the coordination of nursing care, including admission and discharge processes, to ensure efficient throughput and exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Oversight of nursing care in the NICU unit, including implementation of policies and procedures.
- Leadership and guidance for nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Assistance with staff scheduling and management of labor resources to meet patient needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required.
- Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role in a hospital setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit or departmental needs.
