We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and QualificationsSeasonal Program Requirements – Seasonal PRN Status with a Full-Time Schedule – Program Runs 8 / 25 / 24-4 / 5 / 25 : All seasonal employees are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal periodAll positions require 1 year of experienceThree (3) weekend shifts are required each 4-week schedule periodDuring the course of the 32-week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts (defined by Department Manager or designee)Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off. There are no guaranteed hours by the hospitalSeasonal Staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policySeasonal Staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses Current FT / PT / PRN employees are not eligible to join the Seasonal program for 2024-2025 Current employees of HWS are not eligible for the seasonal programShifts may vary based on the needs of the department Job Summary and Qualifications Collaborates with physician and Registered Nurses to serve in support role within OR. Responsible for supplies, instrumentation and equipment needed for surgical cases. Proficient in surgical environment as surgical assistant passing instruments and assisting the physician during surgical cases. What will you do in this role : You will assist professional staff during the provision of anesthesia as requiredYou will be cross trained to perioperative assistant within the OR What qualifications you will need : Graduate of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist and current CST or completion of an appropriate training program for Surgical Technology in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard of the United States or in the United States Public Health Service or employed to practice Surgical Technology in a healthcare facility prior to September 1, 2009 requiredCurrent AHA or ARC BLS providerCertified Surgical Technician (CST), or Technician in Surgery (NCCT), or Vocational School Graduate, or Work Experience in lieu of Degree, or Certificate requiredMinimum 1 year Certified Surgical Technician experience required Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals are hospitals for specialized advanced cardiovascular and spine care. The facility has a dedicated cardiac emergency room. Medical City Spine Hospital has 25 beds. It provides spine care for common spine disorders. Spine care is also provided for rare, hard-to-treat spinal deformities. Those include adult and pediatric scoliosis and spondylolistheses.
