Position Description:
The Assistant Professor and clinical faculty member in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Medicine will provide service to both inpatient & outpatient services. This is a teaching position, and will involve teaching and advising residents & medical students.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide full-scope of family medicine care to both inpatients and outpatients
- Precept residents on both the inpatient and outpatient services and obstetrics
- Provide OB call and weekend rounds as per rotation schedule with other faculty in the department in accordance with Department policy
- Additional teaching responsibilities with residents and medical students
- Engage in scholarly activities as per ACGME requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Chair or Chair-designate at local site

Position Requirements:
Required:
- MD, DO, or foreign medical equivalent
- Graduation from an accredited residency program
- Board certification or Board eligibility
- WI medical licensure (or eligiblility for same)
- Certification in Medically Assisted Treatment of Opioid disorders
- Competency in obstetrical management highly preferred
- Technical Skills – Strong background in medical procedural skills
- If applying for Cesarean section privileges, completion of an accredited obstetrical fellowship or documentation of competency in performing Cesarean sections
- Task/Project Management - Ability to independently manage assigned projects & tasks, and accurately complete within budget and by due date with high customer satisfaction. Ability to work independently, and ask for technical assistance when needed. Ability to identify, estimate, & complete tasks required for the project.
- Problem Solving Skills - Ability to recognize issues, and determine priority. Ability to quickly isolate and independently resolve issues utilizing all available resources. Ability to proactively prevent issues from occurring again, and to anticipate future issues. Ability to stay focused on the root cause to solve problems.
- Communication Skills - Ability to effectively communicate in both written & verbal form to patients, colleagues, & staff. Ability to create comprehensive documentation for curriculum.
- Interpersonal/Customer Service Skills - Must be pleasant, courteous, & professional to patients, staff, & colleagues. Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm & patient manner. Maintain a positive attitude in all situations.
