Associate Professor/Professor- Clinical Research FacultyCLINICIAN INVESTIGATOR PATHWAY - MEDICAL COLLEGE OF WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY AND COMMUNITY MEDICINE
The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) seeks applicants for a full-time, Clinician Investigator or Traditional track position at the rank of Associate Professor or higher in the Department of Family & Community Medicine. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of research collaborations, publications, & a strong desire to further their academic career, and advance science and education in the fields of family & community medicine. The faculty member will be expected to develop an active program of independent & collaborative research pertinent to the research priorities of the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Department of Family & Community Medicine, including analyses related to the delivery, conduct, or outcomes of primary care, population health, or programs to optimize health outcomes for vulnerable populations.
This position may provide patient care & clinical teaching in the inpatient & outpatient settings. This is a teaching position, and will also involve advising and mentoring residents & medical students.

- Research
- Support Department goals to increase research productivity through collaborations with Center for Healthy Communities and Research faculty & staff, and engaging clinical faculty & residents
- Build an independent and externally funded research portfolio
- Support multidisciplinary research teams in federal funding applications
- Maintain scholarly productivity through publications of peer reviewed manuscripts, and speaking at national/international conferences
- Advise and mentor medical students & residents on research projects
- Clinical/Teaching
- Provide full-scope of family medicine care to both inpatients & outpatients
- Precept residents on both the inpatient & outpatient services, and obstetrics
- Additional teaching responsibilities with residents&d medical students
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chair or Chair-designee at local site

Position Requirements:
- MD or DO, or foreign medical equivalent
- ABFM or ABOFP Board certification
- Graduation from an accredited residency program
- Additional research training (e.g., MS, MPH) or primary care research experience preferred
- Communication Skills - Able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form to support collaboration, funding proposals to support research, and scholarly dissemination and publication.
- Technical Skills – Demonstrates a strong background in scientific method, quantitative methodology and grant writing.
- Task/Project Management - Able to independently manage projects, tasks, teams and budgets
