The Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is seeking a Director of Cytopathology & Endocrine / Head & Neck Pathology. The successful candidate will collaborate with clinical colleagues in Pathology as well as with the community at Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College of Wisconsin. The candidate must qualify for an appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor of Pathology. Candidates should qualify for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Wisconsin. In addition, candidates should be Board Certified in Anatomic Pathology or Clinical & Anatomic Pathology and applicants should be fellowship trained and board certified in Cytopathology.
The division of surgical pathology works under a subspecialty sign-out system, with close working relationships with clinicians and surgeons and a full complement of cutting-edge clinical service lines. The Pathology Residency Program encompasses 16 positions, and the department has active fellowship programs in GI/Liver Pathology, Cytopathology, Hematopathology, Breast/Gynecological Pathology, Pediatric Pathology, General Surgical Pathology, Clinical Chemistry, and Transfusion Medicine. The department houses a full-service translational research core facility that serves the human tissues research needs of both the pathology faculty and translational researchers across campus. This laboratory offers a full range of technical platforms, from histology and immunohistochemistry through a full menu of molecular techniques and next generation sequencing, and these services are available to all faculty members.

Responsibilities:
- Leading the cytopathology and endocrine / head & neck subspecialty team.
- Successful candidates should bring strong clinical abilities, excellent communication skills, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and commitment to MCW’s academic missions.
- Provide services at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa / Milwaukee Wisconsin.
- 65,000 surgicals and 70,000 cytology cases are accessioned annually.

- Board certified in Anatomic Pathology or Clinical & Anatomic Pathology
- Fellowship trained and Board certified in Cytopathology
