In the role of a Ride Ambassador you will be working in our Cancer Center.
Purpose
Work independently with direction from the Managing Director, be responsible for the strategic consultation, planning and execution of the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) Cancer Center bike ride event, Audaxity. Plan event from inception to completion ensuring activities align with MCW's mission and values.
Primary Functions
- Plan, execute and consult for the Audaxity event, including associated ancillary events including outreach events, captains' meetings, fundraising events, team rallies, training rides.
- Oversees outreach efforts and rider and volunteer recruitment. Develop outreach plans that includes communications and fundraising plans and event collateral such as printed materials, video storytelling and promotional materials.
- Serve as an ambassador for the event in the community. Provide resources to riders and volunteers with key event information.
- Collaborate and integrate with MCW departments to strategically align events to fundraising goals and MCW's brand strategy goals.
- Actively participates on committees and leads informational meetings, including preparing materials and agendas, facilitating meetings, following up on action items and completing and distributing minutes.
- Form and maintain partnerships with outside vendors, including negotiating contracts.
- Effectively manages schedules and priorities.
- Share new ideas, expectations, operational challenges, and information with senior and executive leaders.
- Responsible for handling and processing currency for registration and / or donations for fundraising events.
- Other work-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Education : Bachelor's degree
