Compliance Support and ERISA Document Preparer


Job Profile Level Overview

An experienced professional with broad expertise in plan document creation and administrative support. Able to work independently to address complex issues, while being a reliable resource for others in the department. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations, from supporting broker partners to managing plan document creation and back-end administrative processes.

Job Summary

This position primarily focuses on supporting the creation of plan documents for broker partners, including WRAP plans, POP plans, Section 125 plans, Cafeteria Plans, and other related documents. The role involves administrative support, such as ensuring accurate data entry into department systems, and ensuring timely delivery of plan documents to brokers.

General Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare and draft plan documents, including WRAP, POP, Section 125, Cafeteria Plans, and other related plan documents, based on client specifications.
  • Review plan document drafts to ensure accuracy, compliance with regulations, and alignment with broker requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and brokers to gather necessary information and documentation for plan creation.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of plan document drafts, approvals, and final versions.
  • Assist with the creation of necessary amendments and updates to existing plan documents as required.
  • Manage the timely delivery of completed plan documents to brokers and clients.
  • Maintain and update document tracking systems, ensuring that all steps in the process are documented and current.
  • Participate in team meetings, provide feedback, and contribute to training initiatives.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on documents prepared by others to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Provide guidance on plan document requirements, compliance standards, and regulatory issues to internal teams and broker partners.
  • Support the team's business goals by ensuring efficient, high-quality document creation and delivery.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of applicable service products, policies, and procedures.
  • Follow all Medcom policies as they relate to privacy and security
  • Work overtime as requested
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong understanding of employee benefit plan documents, including WRAP, POP, Section 125, and Cafeteria Plans.
  • Proficiency in standard office software, such as MS Office, and department-specific software.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to plan documents and ERISA.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues and broker partners.
  • Proven ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and offering solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

This role requires a detail-oriented professional dedicated to ensuring accurate plan document creation and back-end support for broker partners. The individual will be an essential part of the team, ensuring that all plan documents are prepared, reviewed, and delivered in a timely and compliant manner.
