Job Description
This job is for second shift: 6:00 pm - 6:00 am Wed, Thu, Fri and every other Saturday.
Operates equipment and machinery as directed by supervisors / technicians as per established standards. Able to clear a routine machine fault, perform rudimentary troubleshooting and understands when to ask for assistance. Measured against established standards.
The main responsibility of the injection molding operator is to perform all manufacturing tasks in the injection molding area following established procedures, which includes documentation and guidelines. This role also Inspects injection molding products to ensure quality standards and specifications are consistently met. Must adhere to all safety guidelines and follow all instructions and be willing to learn new manufacturing techniques.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Documentation.
Open and close work orders.
Data Entry.
Knowledge of IMI products.
Identify common Injection molding defects.
Provide solutions to process and quality gaps.
Assist with on-the-job training of new employees.
Positive attitude and good attendance is a must.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of document management and database operations.
Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language and be understood.
Must have moderate organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Must be able to use computer software programs and access information in the company computer system.
Moderate math skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Injection Molding Experience Preferred, But Not Required.
Medical device product and/or market knowledge.
Machine maintenance knowledge.
Work experience with a medical device manufacturer.
Validation processing knowledge.
Physical / Mental Demands:
Job is performed indoors in a variety of settings including office, manufacturing/injection molding floor and warehouse with no abnormal hazards or risks. Protective safety clothing will be required including appropriate dress code: no makeup or jewelry, shoe coverings, gloves, hairnet, lab coat, etc., as needed.
Physical activity includes walking, standing, bending, squatting, reaching above shoulders, and lifting up to 40 pounds or moving up to 100 pounds.
Must be able to sit or stand throughout most of a shift with occasional walking.
Repetitive bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, and lifting.
Work may require weekend and evening work
Must be able to work under stress and in a fast-paced environment.
Must be alert, able to concentrate, and use good judgment.
