Medical Me MD is a leading provider of STEM/STEAM educational enrichment programs, delivering fun and engaging learning experiences in medicine, science, and health education to children of all ages. Our summer camp program offers unique, hands-on activities designed to inspire and educate participants while fostering a love for science, medicine and discovery.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily setup and breakdown of camp activities and materials.
- Support instructors in delivering engaging, hands-on lessons in science, health, and medicine.
- Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during activities, breaks, and transitions.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where all campers feel valued and supported.
- Manage camper participation during group activities and provide encouragement and guidance.
- Collaborate with the camp team to ensure a smooth and organized program schedule.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as attendance tracking and parent communication, as needed.
- Act as a role model by demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and enthusiasm.
Qualifications:
- High school student or recent graduate with an interest in education, science, or health fields.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Experience working with children is a plus but not required.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a bonus.
Compensation:
$18/hr This is a paid internship position; it offers valuable hands-on experience in STEM education and leadership development. Letters of recommendation will be provided upon request.
Position: Junior Counselor
Location: Anne Arundel County, MD ( Annapolis)
Position Type: Seasonal (Part-Time)
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead instructors and counselors with camp activities and daily operations.
- Supervise small groups of campers to ensure safety and active participation.
- Lead and support interactive games, exercises, and team-building activities.
- Help manage camper behavior using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Act as a point of contact for campers, offering support and encouragement.
- Monitor the use and organization of camp supplies and materials.
- Communicate camper concerns or incidents to senior staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- At least 16 years old with a genuine interest in working with children and STEM/STEAM education.
- Ability to maintain a positive and energetic demeanor throughout the day.
- Previous experience in camp settings, babysitting, or youth programs is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
Compensation:
$18-$20 hr
